Disc golf
Barnet Park features an excellent 18-hole disc golf course, which winds its way through the woods around the park. It is open to anyone and players of all skill levels are welcome.
The local club hosts monthly mini tournaments, the first Sunday of each month. They also host weekly random-draw doubles each Tueday evening during daylight savings time. In mid-May, the King's Cup is a PDGA-sanctioned Pro/Am tournament held at Barnet Park. Other events, including the Kinston Ice Bowl, are also held throughout the year.
