What's New in Parks & Recreation...

We Have Moved!! You can find the Recreation Administrative Offices upstairs at the new Woodmen Community Center located at 2602 W. Vernon Avenue. The Lions Water Adventure is now open!

Big Daddy Express Train at the Neuseway Nature Park is operating (weather permitting).  Call 252-939-3302 to reserve school field trips or for group rides.  Admission is $1.00/person. Saturday hours are: 9am-5pm and Sunday hours are: 1pm-5pm.

 

                                            

Do you love to dance? Do you enjoy working out? We have the program just for you- Zumba!! Zumba is the Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, calorie-burning, dance-fitness-party. We are offering Zumba and other fitness classes at the Woodmen Community Center.  Stop by the "member services desk" to pick up the latest schedule for classes. Not a member?  Day passes are sold for a small fee.  For more details or information, please contact the Woodmen Community Center's Member Services Desk at 939-1330.

Parks & Recreation Department

The Kinston/Lenoir County Parks & Recreation Department operates 11 parks providing organized programs for adults and children, such as: arts and crafts, dance classes, golf, tennis, summer day camps, baseball, softball, volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, football, soccer, kickball and swimming.

Two public outdoor pools are available, one at Emma Webb Park and one at Holloway Recreation Center.

Adult activities are scheduled thoughout the year including golf, tennis, basketball, softball, bridge, aerobics, dodgeball, line dancing and senior outings. A Senior Olympics program is also active in the Spring and Fall. Get involved in the fun!

All Kinston/Lenoir County Parks & Recreation facilities are alcohol and tobacco-free.
